KIX In Pre-Production For New Album
June 1, 2013Maryland rockers KIX are currently in pre-production with producer/songwriter Taylor Rhodes (AEROSMITH) for their new studio album and first since 1995's "$how Bu$ine$$". The new CD will be released later in the year via Frontiers Records.
KIX singer Steve Whiteman last year stated about the upcoming CD: "We have been hard at work getting new material together that we think will stand shoulder to shoulder with any previous KIX record. It's a really exciting time!"
KIX lineup includes original members Steve Whiteman, Jimmy Chalfant, Ronnie Younkins and Brian Forsythe, with Mark Schenker on bass.
KIX's first-ever live DVD and CD, entitled "Live In Baltimore", was released last September.
Since KIX's return to the national stage in 2008 with appearances at two of the biggest rock festivals in the U.S., Rocklahoma in Pryor, Oklahoma and Rock The Bayou in Houston, Texas , KIX has played a large number of successful live shows all across the USA, with regular appearances at festivals, casinos and biker rallys, culminating with headlining the hugely successful M3 Rock Festival in Columbia, Maryland two years in a row. The live CD/DVD is packed with fan favorites and a choice catalog of great hard rock KIX songs recorded live in Baltimore, Maryland.
